Charles Schofield
The Rt Rev Charles de Veber Schofield, DD〔(NPG details )〕 (14 July 1871 – 12 July 1936) was an eminent Anglican priest in the first half of the 20th century.
He was educated at Windsor, Nova Scotia and Edinburgh Theological College〔“Who was Who” 1897-1990 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 0-7136-3457-X〕 and ordained Deacon in 1897〔"The Clergy List, Clerical Guide and Ecclesiastical Directory" London, John Phillips, 1900〕 and Priest in 1898.〔''Ordinations. London'' The Times Monday, Jun 06, 1898; pg. 12; Issue 35535; col D〕 After a curacy at St Mary’s, Portsea, Portsmouth he was Rector of Hampton, New Brunswick〔The Times, Thursday, Dec 29, 1904; pg. 8; Issue 37590; col C ''Ecclesiastical Intelligence''〕 then Sydney, Nova Scotia.
